Karli Janell and Nick Batzell

Karli Janell and Nick Batzell are Boston-based artists whose work focuses on the philosophical themes of phenomenology, the self, the human form as well as discovering avenues for hope. Janell, who is experienced mainly in painting and installation, and Batzell, who is predominantly a sculptor, are both in the MFA program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Combine their diverse skillsets, the artists experiment with collaboration by creating innovative pieces of art using scrap materials and new technologies.
