Arushi Singh
Arushi Singh is an information and UX designer based in Boston, MA. Currently, she is pursuing her MFA in Information Design and Visualization from Northeastern University. She is particularly interested in bridging the gaps between the worlds of data visualization, UX design, and digital arts. With experience working as a graphic illustrator, UX designer, and Data Visualization Specialist, Singh uses her background to translate the intricate movements in the Indian classical dance of Kathak into abstract and expressive visualizations using non-traditional methods of capturing movement. Singh continues to explore how dance evokes emotion from an audience, and documents the subtle movements to give spectators a more intimate experience.

Paran Aamad
Paran Aamad abstracts the intricate movements of Kathak, the Indian classical dance which dates as far back as 400BCE. Singh pays homage to Kathak by carefully preserving these subtle bodily movements through film. Singh attaches a light source to each wrist and ankle to isolate the choreography.
